Further remarks

top.

15

- The test report does not list the manufacturer's adequate model name

24

- The CoC  still contains the old EMC Directive 2004/108 / EC

Especially in online trading, the focus of the supervisory authorities is on Asian products.
Asian products clearly list the list of dangerous and potentially dangerous products published in the EU RAPEX Rapid Alert System, which are usually associated with sales bans or product recalls. Such actions may, through an ordered distribution prohibition, affect whole inventories, i. far-reaching economic consequences up to a bankruptcy of the dealer can be the consequences. And that would not be an isolated case. The same applies of course for arranged recall campaigns. Without a functioning callback management, such actions can hardly be handled, with the same consequences as with a sales ban.
You can minimize these risks if you understand how to correctly interpret and verify the manufacturer's required conformity documentation and to alert the manufacturer to weaknesses, inconsistencies, missing technical documentation or incomprehensible documents and test results.
This is a difficult undertaking and without specific knowledge for the dealer (compliance manager / distributor / quasi-manufacturer) as good as not feasible.
Verification of the conformity documents by competent persons and optionally an assessment of the roadworthiness by a random inspection of the product with regard to the conformity of guidelines and standards considerably reduce the risk of an economic "total damage".
You can not and do not rely on an exclusive CE declaration (directive conformity) of the manufacturer (see info below).
Compliance with the harmonized standards published in the Official Journal of the EU is essential.
Request a no-obligation quote for these activities and simply transfer the cost of these external activities to each product. You will be amazed how marginal the cost share / piece is.
The costs of a sales ban or a recall are no longer marginal!
